We are in an unprecedented moment in most of our lifetimes. Whether we call it social or physical distancing, we are scattered and unable to gather together. Many of us are confused. We are afraid for ourselves and the people that we love. We are not unlike Jesus’s disciples on the very first Good Friday.

As we Shelter in Place Together we have modified our Seven Last Words Good Friday Sermon. We’ve gathered seven reflections representing the diverse voices from the OCC community and are inviting you on a self-guided journey to remember the grief and pain of Jesus’s saving death.

This is not something to be listened to while washing dishes or driving in the car. Create an atmosphere of worship, reflection and lament. You can listen alone or with your family, but assume a posture that allows you to notice and respond to the presence of God.
