RIANA SHAW ROBINSON

As the Minister for Worship and Formation, Riana oversees Sunday services including music, prayer, liturgy and discipleship practices. She ensures our “Shore” environments welcome newcomers and embody the mission and values of OCC.

Riana holds a Masters of Divinity at Pacific School of Religion and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from Mills College. She was ordained as a ruling elder in the PCUSA at Faith Presbyterian Church in Oakland. Riana also served on the Steering Committee of the Faith Alliance for a Moral Economy and is passionate about faith-rooted advocacy, social, and racial justice. 

Riana lives in Oakland with her husband, son, and two-year-old twins. She is extremely proud of her oldest daughter who is enrolled at Howard University.

COMMON GROUND

Common Ground will be held on Sunday afternoons during Lent to prepare people to enter the church, and to make a statement of faith. Sign up here.

BAPTISM

 On Easter Sunday, baptism will be offered to children and adults who have yet to be baptized. We also do reaffirmation of baptism for those already baptized. Email Pastor Josh for more information.
